That is SO cool! It's hard for me to imagine having the center of power in the U.S. in your backyard. I wish I lived a little closer...it would be fun to see these magnificent installations a little more often.

that is awesome!!! that, my dear, is no where near Christmas in Clarendon!!!! i think it's cool that you get to enjoy all of that! i've borrowed some of you recipes........ i think i'm gonna make me a "candi" recipe book :)

Hi, Tammy! Yes, it really is neat to live so close to D.C.!! But, I do have fond memories of Christmas in Clarendon. I remember one year I was waiting and waiting for them to call my name for me to get my gift from Santa. It was getting later and Dad wanted to leave. I kept telling him to wait because I wanted my present. Finally he told me that Santa wasn't going to call my name because the parents really bought the gift and he didn't get me one. *GASP!!* And then I knew the truth!!

By the way, there is actually a part of Arlington, VA known as Clarendon. When Audra came to visit, she thought it was funny to see signs for Clarendon!!

Glad you are enjoying the recipes. I love trying out new things!!

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas as well...tell your mom "hi" for me!!
