Cuteness Overload.....

Ahhh.....the joys of potty training! Lucas will be 3 next week and I seriously have not even attempted potty training. I had such a hard time with Logan that I'm just not ready to start with Lucas. The thing with Lucas is that he LOVES to sit on the potty. He'll sit there forever, but never go. I think he is too excited to even try. I caught him trying to poop and asked him if he wanted to go poop in the potty. He was all for it! He just looks so tiny and cute sitting up there!

I made some grunting noises and told him to go poo poo in the potty. This is the response I got!!

Car ocean...

On Sunday, we went to Costco and it was packed. I commented that the parking lot looked like a sea of cars. We found a parking spot and I was getting Logan out of his seat when he said, "Did you say car ocean?". I told him no, I said "sea of cars". He continued, "No, it is car ocean. Kind of like car pool. Get it?". Haha! Thanks, Logan....I got it!!

Tuesday--enchiladas, rice, beans (Again! I had more tortillas and cheese to use up.)

Wednesday--chili cheese dogs (This kit is pretty good and fast!! I add kidney beans and diced tomatoes.), salad

Thursday--bourbon chicken, Jasmine rice, veggies

Friday--BBQ chicken, chipotle lime corn (just add Wegman's chipotle lime finishing butter to corn), lemon rice (I just throw it together, but it is similar to this)

Destination Imagination...

Last Saturday hubby and the boys came down stairs before I did. I was folding laundry, making beds, etc... so I came down a while later. When I did, I saw the scissors on the table and asked Logan if he had been in the drawer in the kitchen. Hubby told me that he had already gotten onto Logan for getting the scissors out. Logan called out to me that he used the scissors and the tape to make an air plane. Now, I was thinking that he made a paper airplane.

As I came through the hall from the dining room into the living room, this is what I saw----

Oh No!! A wing came off!!
Good thing we have a mechanic in house!

By the way, the wings have since been secured on with brad fasteners. Logan was upset that the tape wasn't sticking, so daddy fixed it up real nice....LOL!

I blame you....

The past couple of days, I've helped my friend, Christi, with her blog a little bit....mostly where to insert code, she did the design herself.

All the coding talk got me itching to update my own blog. It may stay like this for a little while or it may change. Just thought I'd let you know in case you stumble upon it in the middle of me changing something.

Christi, I blame you!

Injured on the job....

Last Friday I was vacuuming in the basement. Everything was going great until I noticed a little something that the vacuum wasn't picking up. I was going to do the same routine....you know the one! Pick up the said item and toss it back on the floor and run the vacuum over it again in hopes it picks it up this time. Well, it seems my vacuum had something different in mind.

I have a Kirby...actually we have 2. We purchased our new, shiny Sentria to replace our Generation 5 that is a few years old. Hmmm. Let me think. We bought the Generation 5 back in 98, maybe early 99. Hubby was actually selling them door to door and we decided to purchase from him...LOL! Anyway, when a young man showed up at my house almost a year ago with a can of air freshener in his hand and a van lingering around, I laughed and asked him if he sold Kirbys. Why, yes he did. He and I talked for a little bit, but I told him that my husband wasn't home and there was no way I'd be purchasing one since we already had one. He came back later and I wasn't home, but hubby was. Now, our Generation 5 still worked alright, but Sentria lured us in. She was shiny and new!! In reality, I think hubby just didn't have the heart to say no since he has been in the guys shoes before. So, the plan was that we would clean up the Generation 5 and sell it for a couple hundred. Well, living in a 3 level townhouse, I decided it might be nice to have a couple of vacuums. So, Sentria lives on the main level of the house and Generation 5 never leaves the basement.

Okay....back to last Friday....I was using Generation 5 and bent over to pick up the stray piece of lint/fuzz (or something??). I still had my hand on the handle, but let go for some reason while still bent over. If you have a Kirby, then you know what happens when you have the handle pulled back and let go. It pops back up to the upright position. Only problem is that my head was in the way. WHACK!!! The handle smacked me right on my temple! Ouch! What is worse is that I actually got a bruise from it! I think Generation 5 was a little upset at me for trying to force him to pick up that stray lint. At least it wasn't my sweet Sentria!!

Menu Plan Monday...

Last week didn't go as planned at all. The sickness that Lucas had the week before was passed on to Logan and my husband. Needless to say, we didn't eat the planned meals, but kept it pretty bland with things we had on hand. So far I've managed to escape getting sick and I'm hoping it stays that way. This week is almost exactly the same as last week.

Monday--
pretzel dogs, salad (It has been a long time since we've had these. It was a meal that everyone loved and I decided it was time to make it again! I'll also wrap some string cheese up----YUM!)

Tuesday--eating out--have a couple of coupons that expire and we've been promising Logan we'd take him

Wednesday--enchiladas, rice, beans (We love these enchiladas and rice!!)

Thursday--breakfast for dinner--pancakes, eggs, sausage

Friday--roast sticky chicken legs (have some legs to use up), rice, Syrian green beans

Saturday--Valentine's Day--
penne a la vodka, homemade French bread, salad, and chocolate sheet cake (my family has been making this for years and I LOVE it!!)
